The act on the establishment of the Federal Foundation of Baukultur is passed by the Bundesrat on 24 November 2006 and comes into effect at the beginning of 2007. Following broad nonpartisan support in the German Bundestag on 26 October 2006, the States also clear the formation of the Foundation.

A majority of members of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, which was constituted by the act on the establishment of a “Federal Foundation of Baukultur” dated 17 December 2006 (Federal Gazette, I, p. 3177), approves its Articles of Association under Section 9 of this law on 6 November 2007.
